Beaches
In view of the fact of the position of the city Begur, located on the hill up to app 300m over the sea, with excellent views, all the beaches are reachable under the city itself. We have to take in consideration that in case way by walking to the beach will always take a less time than the way back. The drive way has no difference.
Beach SA RIERA
Sa Riera is 3 minutes of distance from the house (by car/moto), and app. 30mins by walking. The beach is located between two reefs and will captivate you by marvellous view on the rocky islands Illes Medes. The beach Sa Riera is extended, but not too long, what makes it more cosy. There is chiringuito on the beach. Upside the beach there is a restaurant with terrace of sea view. The pleasant walk on the rocky coastline path with great panoramats to make a nice pictures can be done from this beach. The path leads to the next beach Pals (El Raco). The restrooms are available for free.
Beach PALS, EL RACO
This beach is located app. 6 minutes from the house (by car/moto). This beach is the only one the most extended and long what reminds the typical big beaches. This beach is therefore suitable for the lovers of the big long beaches, water sports and activities. On the beach there are some chiringuitos (the stands with refreshement) and the restaurants at the hotel. As well, from this beach you can see the rocky islands Illes Medes. The sunbeds and umbrellas are available to rent during the season, and could be placed as required (not necessarily in the same row, as known from other beaches). From this beach you can take a walk by the path on the rocky coastline to more little beach Sa Riera.
Beach SA TUNA
Located just 8 minutes far away from the house (by car/moto). It is possible to reach this beach by taking a nice walk by the touristic path within app. 50 minutes. Little picturesque pebbly beach with the scenic fisherman´s houses. Cristal clear water and nice view gives a certain magic to this beach. The restaurants around offers the tasty food and drinks besides the excellent sea view. Aside the beach the path on the hilly coastline leads to the next beach Aiguafreda and till Cap Sa Sal where the hotel restaurant with a nice terrace providing unforgettable open sea view.
Beach AIGUAFREDA
Little tiny rocky beach for the snorchling and diving lovers and those who prefers the privacy and calmness during the sunbathing on the big stones hidden in rocks. The refreshment is available in the restaurant there. Taking a walk by the path the hill Cap Sa Sal on one direction, or the old fishermans village and beach Sa Tuna on the other direction.
Beach PLATJA FONDA
The hidden beach in the cove with the dark grey sand. Its name of this beach coming from the word “profound” due to its position in a deep and low located cove thanks to which is protected. The beach is reachable with the stairs, due to its low position under the rocks. This is the reason why it is searched by those who prefers the privacy and natural scenery. It is app. 6 mins from house (by car/moto).
Beach AIGUABLAVA
Small beach with the finest sand of all the beaches around has the crystal clear water, surrounded with rocky hills and nice sea view. Mild entrance into the sea assures the warm water. Thanks to the fine sand and shallow water on the beginning this beach is siutable for the families with the children. The restaurants here have a good culinary offer. The toilets on the beach available for free.
Beach FORNELLS
Little beach south oriented, in the little cave with the rocks and caves. Over the beach the residential area of the same name is located. The path from this beach leads to neighbour beach Fonda.
Beach TAMARIU
The beach protected in a deep bay is “chic” with its little port. Its position helps to avoid the strong wind and waves. This beach insists of two beach places, out of which one is smaller hidden in little cave providing more privacy. Here the jumping bridge and has the path to make the nice walk over the sea. The bigger part of the beach is in the open bay with little promenade with quality restaurants. The rent of kayaks, motor boats with or without captain is available. The beach and village Tamariu is appreciated by good gastronomy lovers and the owners of the boats in the port. The parking, shops, restaurants, beach toilets for free.
Beach LLAFRANC
The beach in the port Llafranc gives the possibility for sunbathing, swim in the sea and relax. The promenade with restaurants offer different types of refreshment. A pleasant walk to see the local architecture, and the path over the sea leads to next beach Calella de Palafrugell.
Beach CALELLA DE PALAFRUGELL
Little village Calella has an cathedral and several separated little beaches. The kayaks are for rent, the promenade offers many restaurants and bars. A nice place to walk on the promenade or through the path in the rocks with beautiful views to take a picture. The beach toilets for free.
